About Us
 
The Rotary Club of Stafford, CT has been an active organization in our community since 1942.  We meet in the Community Room at Johnson Memorial Hospital at 201 Chestnut Hill Road in Stafford, Connecticut every second and fourth Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. We are actively seeking new members and would love for you to come and attend a meeting where we would be glad to answer any of your questions. 
 
Our Mission
The Rotary Club of Stafford, CT, established in 1942, is part of Rotary International, the world's first service club organization. Our mission is to promote peace, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, and eradicate polio, guided by the motto "Service Above Self."
 
Our Values
The Rotary Club is a non-political, non-religious service organization founded in 1905 to foster friendship and fellowship. Since our inception in Stafford, we have remained committed to these values while providing goodwill and service within our community.
 
Our Impact
For over 80 years, we have been actively involved in numerous projects and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Stafford residents. Our efforts include:
  • Rotary Club of Stafford Charitable Fund: Providing financial assistance to residents of Stafford and neighboring towns.
  • Educational Contributions: Supporting the Citizens Scholarship Fund of Stafford through donations.
  • Student Recognition: Honoring Stafford High School students through our Students of the Month program.
  • Youth Leadership: Sending students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and the World Affairs Seminar in Wisconsin to participate in team-building and life skills activities.
  • Stafford Historical Tour project: A collaboration with the Stafford Historical Society to bring greater awareness to Stafford’s rich history, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to explore various historical sites around town
  • Community Assistance: Contributing to Flo’s Friendship Soup Kitchen & Safe Net Ministries.
  • Business Networking: Organizing Rotary Means Business Networking events for the local business community.
  • Senior Support: Partnering with Stateline Senior Services to deliver holiday fruit baskets and/or gift cards to local seniors and shut-ins.
  • Health and Wellness: Sponsoring 5K Road Races to encourage community health and wellness.
