Congratulations to Stafford students for representing our community at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program at Springfield College. Selected from a competitive applicant pool, these students joined peers from across Connecticut and western Massachusetts for a day of leadership development, team-building, and personal growth.
The Rotary Club of Stafford is proud to congratulate four outstanding local students who recently participated in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program: Megan Introvigne, Marian Pace, Julianna Eaton, and Andrew Irwin.
Selected from a strong pool of applicants, these students represented Stafford at this year's RYLA event held on Saturday, May 30, at Springfield College's East Campus. They joined fellow sophomores from across Rotary District 7890, which includes communities throughout much of Connecticut and western Massachusetts, for a full day of leadership development, team-building activities, and personal growth.
Despite cold and rainy weather, the students embraced the experience, taking part in interactive workshops and challenges designed to strengthen communication, confidence, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Throughout the day, they built new friendships, worked collaboratively with peers from other communities, and discovered new ways to lead both in school and in their future endeavors.
RYLA is a signature Rotary youth program that encourages young people to develop their leadership potential while connecting with others who share a commitment to service and personal growth. Each year, the Rotary Club of Stafford is honored to sponsor local students and provide them with the opportunity to participate in this impactful experience.
The club extends its sincere appreciation to the Rotary District 7890 RYLA Committee for organizing and sponsoring this outstanding program. We would also like to thank our Stafford Rotary members who volunteered their time and energy to help make the event a success: Karen, Bruce, and Laura.
Programs like RYLA embody Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self" by investing in the next generation of leaders. We are grateful for the positive impact this program continues to have on our students, our schools, and our communities.
