The Rotary Club of Stafford and the Stafford Historical Society celebrated the addition of two new Stafford Historical Trail markers at Introvigne Funeral Home and Stafford Savings Bank, bringing the total number of historical locations on the trail to five.
The Rotary Club of Stafford and the Stafford Historical Society recently celebrated the expansion of the Stafford Historical Trail with the installation of two new historical markers at Introvigne Funeral Home and Stafford Savings Bank on Furnace Avenue.
The new markers were unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by members of the Introvigne family, Steven Osowiecki, President of Stafford Savings Bank, representatives from the Stafford Historical Society, and members of the Rotary Club of Stafford.
The Stafford Historical Trail is a collaborative project between the Rotary Club of Stafford and the Stafford Historical Society that aims to preserve and share the stories of the people, businesses, and landmarks that have shaped our community. Each marker includes historical information about the site along with a QR code that visitors can scan to access additional details and learn more about Stafford's rich history.
With the addition of these two sites, the trail now features five locations throughout town. Existing markers can be found at Hyde Park, the Stafford Historical Society Museum, and the Stafford Police Station.
The project was created to make local history more accessible to residents and visitors alike, encouraging people to explore Stafford and gain a deeper appreciation for the community's heritage. Whether taking a walk through town or making a stop for ice cream at Ice Cream Depot, visitors are encouraged to take a few extra minutes to visit the markers and discover the stories behind these important locations.
The Rotary Club of Stafford is proud to partner with the Stafford Historical Society on initiatives that celebrate and preserve the town's history while creating opportunities for community engagement and education.
