Rotary Club of Stafford CT members out in the community
Rotary Club of Stafford CT members were out in the community during the last two weeks raising funds for the club and attending community events. On June 28, Four Seasons by the Lake Restaurant hosted a dining fundraiser with all funds raised going to the Rotary Club's general fund. Items raffled off included a gift certificate to Four Seasons by the Lake generously donated by Jon Taylor, and various items donated by club members. The evening was a great success with the club raising over $900!
On June 29, club members attended Stafford Summerfest at Stafford High School to share information about the Stafford Self-Guided Historical Tour and recruit new members. Many people stopped by the table to hear more about Rotary and our project. It was a beautiful evening and a great event for the town of Stafford.
On July 3, Stafford Motor Speedway hosted the Camping World SRX Series right here in Stafford! Club members were given the opportunity to volunteer in one of the Speedway's vendor booths. Several club members worked hard throughout the day collecting tips to benefit the club - by the end of the evening and an exciting win by Ryan Newman, club members had raised over $300!
Overall, a very successful week for Rotary Club of Stafford CT - thanks to all members who participated or attended these events!!
