The Rotary Club of Stafford proudly hosted the Rotary District 7890 Installation Ceremony at Four Seasons by the Lake, celebrating the installation of Stafford's own Dr. E.J. Neafsey as District Governor, Brian Goepfrich as Club President, and welcoming Rotarians from across the district for an evening of fellowship, recognition, and service.
The Rotary Club of Stafford was honored to host the Rotary District 7890 Installation Ceremony on Saturday evening at Four Seasons by the Lake, welcoming Rotarians and guests from throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts to celebrate the beginning of the 2026–2027 Rotary year.
The evening marked an important transition in district leadership as outgoing District Governor April Beston officially installed the incoming Club Presidents, Area Governors, and District Governor. The Rotary Club of Stafford was especially proud to celebrate the installation of one of its own, Dr. E.J. Neafsey, as the new District Governor of Rotary District 7890.
The club also celebrated the installation of its new president, Brian Goepfrich, who will lead the Rotary Club of Stafford during the 2026–2027 Rotary year. Members look forward to another year of service, fellowship, and meaningful community impact under Brian's leadership.
The evening included a heartfelt surprise as District Governor April Beston presented her husband, John Beston, a member of the Rotary Club of Stafford, with the Paul Harris Fellow recognition. The award honored John's unwavering support, service, and commitment to Rotary throughout April's year as District Governor.
Guests were welcomed by the sounds of live pre-dinner music provided by Jill Gregori and Norm Gessay of Two of Us, whose performance created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the celebration.
Hosting the District Installation Ceremony was a tremendous honor for the Rotary Club of Stafford and an opportunity to showcase the hospitality and community spirit that make Stafford such a special place. We were proud to welcome Rotarians from across District 7890 to our hometown and share an evening celebrating leadership, fellowship, and service.
As Rotary begins a new year of service, we congratulate District Governor Dr. E.J. Neafsey, Club President Brian Goepfrich, and all of the newly installed Rotary leaders. The Rotary Club of Stafford looks forward to another year of living Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, while continuing to make a positive impact in our community and throughout District 7890.
