Another year of great racing and fundraising at the Stafford Speedway.

The Rotary Club of Stafford was proud to volunteer at the recent Cleetus McFarland event at Stafford Motor Speedway, where our members spent the day slinging beers for thousands of racing fans who traveled from across Connecticut, New England, and beyond to experience one of the most exciting motorsports events of the summer in Stafford.

From setup to breakdown, our volunteers worked hard serving beverages, meeting visitors from all over the country, and sharing information about Rotary and our service to the Stafford community. Along the way, we even had the opportunity to meet fellow Rotarians from other clubs who stopped by to say hello while enjoying the event.

The atmosphere throughout the day was unforgettable. Between the roar of powerful engines, thrilling racing action, spectacular crashes, and an incredible fireworks display, there was never a dull moment. It was exciting to be part of an event that brought so many people together while raising funds for a great local cause.

Thanks to the generosity of race fans through their tips, the Rotary Club of Stafford raised $799 to benefit Flo's Friendship Kitchen, helping provide meals and support to individuals and families in our community.

While Mother Nature prevented the second day of the event from taking place, we are incredibly grateful to Stafford Motor Speedway for giving our club the opportunity to participate, even for one day. Community partnerships like this make it possible for local organizations to continue serving those in need.

A special thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers Suzanne, John, Brian, Kristy, Laura, and Rotary spouse Brian, whose time and enthusiasm made the day a success.

Finally, thank you to Stafford Motor Speedway, Cleetus McFarland, and every fan who stopped by our booth. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference for Flo's Friendship Kitchen and the people they serve. We look forward to the next opportunity to serve our community together!
