On May 15th, the Stafford Rotary Club met to honor the students of the month from Stafford High School for the months of March, April, May and June 2019.
The following Students were honored for exhibiting some or all of the following criteria:
  1. Exemplifying the philosophy of “Service Above Self”
  2.  Demonstrating high ethical standards
  3. Advancing understanding, goodwill and peace in their interaction with others
  4. Performing community service in a matter that improves their community
  5. Acceptable academic performance (the student must be performing to the best of his or her ability)
The Student of the Month for March 2019 is Senior Ash Cartier who was nominated by educator Tannis Longmore.
The Student of the Month for April 2019 is Junior Montana Voisine who was nominated by educator Benjamin Scurto.
The Student of the Month for May 2019 is Senior Marissa Kallenbach who was nominated by educator Thomas Vaghini.
The Student of the Month for June of 2019 is Senior Luis Medeiros who was nominated by Principal Marco Pelliccia.
The Students were honored in front of the Stafford Rotary Club, their families and the nominating teachers along with Superintendent Steve Moccio.

On November 15, 2017 the Rotary Club's special Program Meeting featured our new District Governor, Dave Mangs.  He spoke about why he was passionate about Rotary and how important it is to retain membership and what it means to be a Rotarian. He answered some tough questions about the marketing of Rotary and admitted that social media is a new phase of advertising, and the marketing of what we do needs to be promoted on all levels. He presented us with the motto and flag for this year - Rotary: Making a difference.

The Network's Community Educator, Annalisa, was guest speaker at the September 20 Stafford Rotary Club meeting. Annalisa spoke of the Network's Shine Purple event from October 15 - 21. In Stafford, the event consists of a week-long domestic violence campaign. Residents and businesses are encouraged to shine a purple light in their windows, front porches or business fronts to raise awareness.
As part of Shine Purple, the Network will be holding events at the Stafford Community Center, including programs on the topics of Elder Abuse, Teen Bullying and Violence. They will also present the film Audrie and Daisy, a documentary about teen sexual assault, followed by a panel discussion. Click here for the Calendar of Events.

On Friday, September 1, 2017 state and local police sponsored an event to to enhance the relationship between students and law enforcement and offered information and education dealing with narcotics prevention and drug awarenes. The Rotary Club of Stafford participated by sponsoring a virtual reality booth for the students.

Four Stafford High School students were honored during a presentation by Superindentent of Schools Pat Collin at the April 5, 2017 Stafford Rotary Club meeting. Parents, grandparents and guidance counselors attended to show their support for the students' outstanding accomplishments.

Keith Marin (left) from Safe Net Ministries was the guest speaker at the February 15, 2017 meeting of the Stafford Rotary Club, held at Sun Valley in Stafford. Marin spoke of the organization’s recent move from downtown Main Street to 58 West Stafford Road, where the problem of parking, congestion and food deliveries have improved greatly.

On Sunday, September 13th  The Stafford Rotary Club will be hosting 2 fundraiser-events !  At 9am there will be the  Beaupre Farm Day 5k Road Race and walk at Stafford High School located at 145 Orcuttville Road in Stafford.  At 11am there will be the Stafford Rotary Farm Day 2015 at Heritage Park on Buckley Highway (Rte 190) in Stafford.  Applications for both events are in download section below.

         Stafford Rotary now has "Five Avenues of Service" rather than four. "New Generations Service" is now joining "Club Service," "Vocational Service," "Community Service" and "International Service." 


The fifth Avenue of Service recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development activities, involvement in community and international service projects, and exchange programs that enrich and foster world peace and cultural understanding.
