Jonathan Knight spoke about good things happening with First Niagara and also spoke about the Blues Festival on August 6th that he is co chairing with Neil Hoss.   We thought it may be an opportunity to have a booth, enjoy the music and raise some money.  If any Rotarian has any ideas about what we could do, please bring your suggestions to a meeting.   Jonathon is also working on the Beaupre Road Race which is happening on 9/17.  More to come as we get closer
President Ilene announced that we have met all our goals for the District Grant. Thanks to Jackie Richards for pitching in to listen to the Webinar required by the Grant Committee.   In order to qualify we needed to state our Goals for the Foundation for 2016-2017.  President Ilene stated that we would be budgeting the same as last year: $1000 for the Rotary Foundation and $500 for Polio Plus.

The Board of Directors had approved at their last meeting to recommend we go forward with a District Grant Request to furnish 16 Homeless Veterans apartments with new pots and pans, dishes and silverware and asstd kitchen items. Our Budget will be $3000. , we will look for a District Grant of $1500.  The Board also recommended that we do the project even if we do not get approved for the Grant.    A motion was made and unanimously passed to go forward with that project .   In July or August we will be notified whether or not the District will approve. At that time we will need a volunteer to chair the project.

The Golf Tournament letters will be brought to the next meeting on April 20th. After our program meeting we will go thru the list of past golfers and past contributors and divide up the letters having Rotarians make personal visits when they can or mail and personally follow up.
We still have postcards that Rotarians can carry and pass out to anyone who shows an interest in either being a sponsor or playing golf.  Besides the tent signs for $100 there will be 3 categories for sponsors.  Bronze at $250., Silver at $500 and Gold at $1000.   We made $2250 last year on the upgraded sponsors and hope to bring that # up this year.

Rotarian at Work T-Shirts will be ordered for members.  The members present gave us their size choices.  We will also have the list and size chart available for the April 20th meeting.
