The Rotary Club of Stafford CT has teamed up with the Friends of the Library to host a Stafford Volunteer Fair on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Stafford Library. We invite all volunteer groups in Stafford to come set up a table with information about your group and what volunteering with your organization entails.

We will have limited tables and chairs available - please indicate if you will need them.
We will be advertising the fair throughout Stafford and ask that your organization does as well. The flyer is attached here for you to share and distribute. Please invite any organizations you think might benefit from being a part of this event.

To honor this achievement, District Governor Vin Marinaro, PDG Christine Brown, and Foundation Chair Eileen Rau invite all members to a special Foundation Recognition Brunch. The Rotary Club of Stafford will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 13th, at the Stafford Library, where we will celebrate and honor the Students of the Month from Stafford High School. Dinner, including pizza, salad, and desserts, will be provided (Rotary members - $5 each payable in cash at the event). Rotary members are asked to contribute desserts—please email Kristy at staffordrotaryct@gmail.com with what you plan to bring. District Governor Vin Marinaro will also be joining us to meet members and share updates on upcoming district initiatives. This is a great opportunity to connect with our District Governor and learn more about what’s happening at the district level, so we strongly encourage all members to attend. Following the celebration, we will proceed with our regular meeting. Please RSVP by Tuesday, November 12th. All Rotary members are encouraged to attend! |

Attention all foodies and community supporters!
Take the night off from cooking and come out and support the Stafford Rotary Club at our Dining for a Cause fundraiser at Basil's, right here in Stafford Springs!
On Wednesday, December 4th from 4PM to 8PM, a portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Stafford Rotary Club. Take-out orders are included, so you can still participate even if you can't make it to the restaurant.
The Stafford Rotary Club is a service organization that is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. We support a variety of local initiatives and programs, including scholarships for students, volunteering at community events, and more. You can take the night off from cooking and support our important work at the same time!
And if that's not enough to entice you, there will also be a raffle with some amazing prizes!

Celebrate the season in Downtown Stafford!
Stafford WinterFest The brightest night in Stafford returns to ring in the holiday season on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (weather date December 15). A festive hometown tradition, WinterFest features live performances, visits with Santa, a community bonfire, the Parade of Lights, hundreds of luminaries throughout Main Street, and more! Special Events Schedule Museum Open House - 3:00pm - 7:00pm Explore two-floors of Stafford’s rich heritage and connect to our local history! The Museum’s little gift shop will be open, give the gift of history this season! Live Nativity - 3:00pm Live Nativity Performance with real actors and animals will take place on the lawn of the First United Methodist Church at 8 Church Street. Hyde Park Wagon Rides - 3:00pm - 4:45pm & 6:00pm - 7:00pm Bundle up and take a festive wagon ride! Truly a charming and memorable experience, passengers should meet near the Historical Society (5 Spring Street). Rides will be offered before and after the parade, and on a first come, first serve basis and may vary based on road closure schedule. Local Shopping In addition to favorite bricks-and-mortars, browse a selection pop-up vendors and community organizations in Haymarket Common, starting at 3:00pm. The goal of the market is to support a community of makers, entrepreneurs, artists, and community groups who are passionate about sharing their craft or local initiative. The Application form to be a Vendor will be open until December 1, 2024. (Click here to apply) Parade of Lights - 5:00pm Step-off from the corner of Olympic Annex/West Main Street, proceeds to Main Street and concludes at Town Hall/Holt Fountain. Businesses, organizations, clubs, civic groups, and residents are all welcome to be part of the fun! Whether you're part of a float, marching group, or driving a decorated vehicle, we encourage all entries to be brightly illuminated for a dazzling evening display. The parade will step off just after dusk, and we ask that all participants ensure their entries are well-lit for optimal viewing. Viewing is everywhere between Olympic Circle and Town Hall. (click here for parade participation information & registration) Caroling, Mix + Mingle SHS Band & Color Guard performance (apx. 4:45PM). Caroling w/ SHS Choir (apx. 5:45PM)! All in Haymarket Common (31 Main Street) Letters to Santa We’ve made special arrangements with the North Pole! Children may drop their letters to Santa in the big red mailbox located outside the Police Station. Make sure to include the senders first/last name and return mailing address on each letter so Santa can mail a response! Should weather cause a postponement, WinterFest will be rescheduled to Sunday, December 15. |
