The Rotary Club of Stafford CT will be participating in this year's Trick or Treat on Main Street in downtown Stafford. We will be handing out beads to all participants and hosting a table with information about the Stafford Historical Tour. We will need volunteers to help with each table for this event. Costumes are optional, but definitely more fun.
Information about the event: Each year, Main Street in Stafford Springs closes to auto traffic and opens as a pedestrian walkway for families to enjoy a safe and social Halloween event. For two hours - or until candy runs out - costumed kiddos collect goodies from participating businesses, at the First United Methodist Church (where Trunk-or-Treat is held), and along sidewalks and in Haymarket Common, which accommodates town-wide businesses and organizations wanting to distribute treats from “pop-up” tables or booths.
Augmenting trick-or-treat activities, the Stafford Garden Club also hosts their Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest; homemade creations line Main Street throughout the month of October and with final voting taking place during Trick-or-Treat on Main Street.
